Aegis Meridian Group exists to forge the modern protector through the mastery of defense and the preservation of life. Aegis (pronounced ee-jis) was the shield of Zeus and Athena in Greek mythology — a symbol of protection. We believe the ultimate guardian is one who stands at the Meridian — the thin line between order and chaos — equipped with the skill to respond to a threat and the medical expertise to save the fallen. Guided by that legacy, we teach civilians concealed carry, situational awareness, and the practical skills needed to become a capable protector of family and community.

Cory has spent his entire career operating where split-second decisions dictate who goes home safely. As a former Critical Care Paramedic and Firefighter, Cory handled high-stress 911 emergencies in Detroit, worked in the emergency department of a Level 1 Trauma Center, and practiced cutting-edge pre-hospital medicine under Vanderbilt-affiliated protocols in Tennessee. He understands what happens to the human body and mind when adrenaline spikes and chaos hits. Today, Cory translates that real-world crisis management into defensive firearms and medical training for everyday citizens, specializing in concealed carry preparation, situational awareness, and bystander trauma response. His teaching is grounded in the performance-based adult learning methods of Tom Givens Rangemaster and SIG Academy, where practical instruction, measurable performance, and effective coaching are central to the student experience.
